Over thirty performers are gathering from the four corners of the region for the first scheduled Christmas Concert of this season and all are excited with the selections and the quality of the performances that will be presented.

 

The program begins with the entire audience singing "O Come, All Ye Faithful",  "The First Noel", "Joy to the World" and "Angels We Have Heard On High" all accompanied on the Estey organ played by Bud Hikel and on the Evers & Pond piano played by Sharon Pearson.  Next, Sarah Dole and Robert MacGimsey will sing "Sweet Baby Jesus Boy". 

 

The afternoon program changes to a Liturgical Dance to "The Lord's Prayer" with the Children Dance Group that is led by Donna Estes. 

 

Singing returns with solos of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" sung by Dana Tillinghast followed by two other solos, "All is Well"  and "O Holy Night" sung by Hallie Day. Duets will continue the singing with "Velvet Shoes" sung by Hallie Day & Dana Tillinghast then a very special arrangement of "Pie Jesu" by Andrew Lloyd Weber that will be sung by Erica Dagesse and Hallie Day.

 

A beautiful solo piano performance of "Still, Still, Still-- A Christmas Berceuse" will be played on the piano by Sharon Pearson.

 

The concert all comes together with the entire North Country Community Chorus filling the risers singing, "Emmanuel", "What Child is This?" with soloists: Steven Learned, Kendra Learned and Jonah Cote followed by "The Children and the Shepherds", "Carol of the Drum" and "Mary Rocked the Little Baby" with a solo from  Dana Tillinghast. The Community Chorus includes: Harry "Bud" Hikel, Conductor,  Sharon Pearson, Pianist and singers Jonah Cote, Sarah Dole, Sue Gosselin, Marylu Granquist, Nils Granquist, Dana Tillinghast, Sue Hikel, Lois Judkins, Christiane Lanctôt, John Lanctôt, Kendra Learned, Steven Learned, Millicent Philbrook, Melanie Reese, Frank Sawicki, Katie Sawicki and Kenn Stransky.
